Lions Club of Gold Canyon
Gold Canyon, Arizona
We are a member of the International Association of Lions Clubs, a
service club dedicated primarily to helping those in our community who are
living with sight and hearing challenges. We assist other needy individuals and
families as well. We were chartered in May 1999 and became a 501-c3 Corporation
in 2006. Our membership as of January 1st, 2008 has grown to 80 men and women.
Our club meets at noon for lunch at the Gold Canyon Golf Resort Preview Center on
Kings Ranch Road in Gold Canyon on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month,
from October through April.
Some of the organizatons and activities we support are;
Local eye and hearing care for those in need
Lions Camp Tatiyee for physically challenged children
Providing Leader Dogs for the Blind
The Arizona Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation
Sight and Hearing Testing for Apache Junction and Gold Canyon
Schools
The Apache Junction and Gold Canyon Project Help
The Gold Canyon and Apache Junction Food Banks
Food Baskets and Assistance for needy families at holidays
IDs for Gold Canyon School Children
Contributions to C.A.A.F.A.
Scholarships for Gold Canyon High School Students
Contributions to the LCIF Fund for worldwide disaster assistance
